Per Mertesacker partners Thomas Vermaelen in central defence for Arsenal's trip to Carrow Road this afternoon.

Arsene Wenger makes one change to the Arsenal lineup that defeated West Bromwich Albion 3-0 at the Emirates a fortnight ago for this afternoon's game with Norwich at Carrow Road.

The Frenchman restores Per Mertesacker to central defence to partner Thomas Vermaelen following his return to fitness, with Laurent Koscienly moved across to right-back.

Andrew Crofts and David Fox both start for the Canaries in place of Grant Holt and Elliott Bennett as Paul Lambert reverts back to his preferred 4-5-1 formation.

Norwich: Ruddy, Naughton, Russell Martin, Barnett, Tierney; Crofts, Johnson, Fox, Pilkington, Hoolahan; Morison

Arsenal: Szczesny, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Andre Santos; Ramsey, Arteta, Song, Walcott; van Persie, Gervinho
