Team News: Alexis Sanchez left out of Arsenal squad for Bournemouth clash

Alexis Sanchez is not included in Arsenal's squad for this afternoon's meeting with Bournemouth, amid ongoing links with a move away from the club.

Alexis Sanchez has not been included in Arsenal's squad for this afternoon's Premier League meeting with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The Chile international is said to be fully fit but was not part of the Gunners' travelling party, amid ongoing links with a move away from the club.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made one change to the side that earned a goalless draw at Stamford Bridge in the EFL Cup four days ago, with Petr Cech returning between the sticks in place of David Ospina.

Former Bournemouth loanee Jack Wilshere is among the visitors' starters this afternoon, having shaken off an ankle injury sustained in the stalemate with Chelsea in midweek.

In terms of the visitors, Eddie Howe has made three changes to the side that drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion last time out in the Premier League.

Lewis Cook, Ryan Fraser and Dan Gosling all return, taking over from Harry Arter, Marc Pugh and ex-Arsenal man Benik Afobe.

Bournemouth are without Joshua King and Junior Stanislas this afternoon, meanwhile, as neither player has yet returned to match fitness.

The Cherries have have failed to win any of their six previous encounters with Arsenal, conceding at least twice in each of those games.
