Juventus are reportedly not prepared to give up on their efforts to sign Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes this summer.
On the back of losing legendary centre-back Giorgio Chiellini on a free transfer, it is becoming increasingly likely that Matthijs de Ligt will follow the Italian in departing Turin.
That has left Massimiliano Allegri in the market for at least one new defender and it has been suggested in the past that Gabriel is high up on his shortlist.
While the Brazilian remains as a first-choice option at the Emirates Stadium, journalist Alfredo Pedulla has claimed that Juventus continue to push hard for the 24-year-old.
The report suggests that contact has already been made regarding Gabriel's services, the Gunners said to be ready to demand in the region of €40m (£33.84m).
However, Juventus officials are allegedly prepared to bid lower than Arsenal's alleged asking price, believing that they can secure the signature of Gabriel for a lower fee.

Staying on the subject of defenders who could be on the move, Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be close to signing Burnley's Nathan Collins, according to John Percy of The Telegraph.
Wolves are yet to make a first-team addition this summer - despite a number of senior departures - but it appears that the Republic of Ireland international will be first through the door.
In his debut season as a Premier League player, the 21-year-old made 18 starts and one substitute outing as Burnley were relegated from the top flight.
Nevertheless, the former Stoke City youngster has made a positive impression at Turf Moor, and both clubs have seemingly settled on a deal worth £20.5m.
Collins is now expected to undergo a medical ahead of a transfer potentially being confirmed later this week.

While there was once a time when Vinicius Junior was being linked with a transfer away from the Bernabeu, the winger is now regarded as untouchable on the left flank.
As well as contributing 17 goals and 10 assists in La Liga during 2021-22, Vinicius Junior also scored the only goal of the game as Real Madrid beat Liverpool in last season's Champions League final.
With just two years remaining on his contract, club officials have been making every effort to extend the 22-year-old's deal at Los Blancos.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real have agreed fresh terms with the attacker, with his new contract to run until 2027.
As it stands, a deal is yet to be confirmed, but Real are currently planning to make an official announcement in due course.

Earlier this year, Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton Diaz was constantly being linked with a transfer to a Premier League club this summer.
That talk has quietened down - a consequence of a poor second half to the season - but that is not to say that top-flight teams are not contemplating whether to make an approach for the Chile international.
According to Football Insider, Leeds sent scouts to watch Brereton Diaz in action against Accrington Stanley at the weekend.
Although Blackburn recently activated a 12-month extension to the 23-year-old's contract, the player is still only tied to Ewood Park until 2023.
