Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale remains "very keen" to complete a move to Arsenal this summer, according to journalist Alan Nixon.
The 23-year-old was reportedly the subject of strong interest from the Gunners earlier in the summer, as Mikel Arteta seeks backup and competition to Bernd Leno in between the sticks.
However, with the Blades demanding a fee in excess of £30m for their number one, Ramsdale was supposedly left 'devastated' after Arsenal told him they would move on to other targets.
Ramsdale's dream move to the Emirates may still be on, though, as Nixon wrote on Twitter: "Sheff U. Ramsdale very keen to get this Arsenal move on. Pushing hard to get away. Clubs can't sort a fee. And he wants to be in Premier. This one may escalate ..."
Amid the ongoing speculation surrounding the future of his first-choice goalkeeper, Sheffield United manager Slavisa Jokanovic has affirmed that he has 'no intention' of parting ways with Ramsdale.
The Englishman kept five clean sheets in 38 Premier League games last season and has started both of Sheffield United's Championship fixtures so far in the 2021-22 season.
