Agent Joao Santos talks up the potential Serie A return for Arsenal midfielder Jorginho, who is currently due to be out of contract at the end of the season.

The agent of Jorginho has name-checked a number of Italian clubs that could suit the Arsenal midfielder after the end of this season.

When leaving Chelsea for the Emirates Stadium in January 2023, Jorginho penned an 18-month contract which came with the option of a one-year extension.

For the best part of a year, the Italy international has found himself in and out of the side, making 23 starts and 18 substitute outings in all competitions.

More recently, though, the 32-year-old has played starring roles in victories over Liverpool and Newcastle United, highlighting his importance to Mikel Arteta's squad.

Jorginho is seemingly settled in London having been there since July 2018, yet he has always been linked with a return to Serie A, where he has most notably represented Napoli.

As it stands, it is unclear whether Jorginho will opt to remain at Arsenal for another 12 months, or if a decision will be made when the club are challenging for the Premier League and Champions League.

Nevertheless, agent Joao Santos has claimed that Lazio - managed by former boss Maurizio Sarri - would suit Jorginho in the future, as well as suggesting that consideration would be given to transfers to either Juventus or Napoli, his former club.

Speaking to TV Play in Italy, Santos said: "He'd suit Lazio more, for the presence of coach Sarri who already knows his characteristics very well, but also Juve who have a great director of sport like Cristiano Giuntoli, who he spent many years with at Napoli.

"I would not rule out a return to Napoli with new coach (Francesco) Calzona, who used to work with Sarri before that."

Lazio have endured an indifferent Serie A campaign, sitting down in eighth position in the standings, but they do hold a 1-0 advantage over Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League ahead of the second leg in Germany.

Juventus are currently well on their way to a return to Champions League football, currently occupy second spot, albeit 12 points adrift of leaders Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, Napoli are very much a team in transition, with Francesco Calzona having recently been appointed as their third head coach of the campaign.

That is a result of the defending champions sitting in ninth place in the table, six points behind the top five after the recent 6-1 triumph away at struggling Sassuolo.
