Andre Santos cancels his contract at Arsenal and signs a two-year deal with Flamengo, where he will own 50% of his own rights.

Andre Santos has left Arsenal are cancelling his contract with the club.

The Brazilian, who spent last season on loan at Gremio, had wanted to remain in his homeland.

After ending his deal at Arsenal he has now agreed a two-year deal at Flamengo, who will own 50% of his economic rights, with the player himself owning the other 50%.

It had been thought that another loan would be in the offing but the left-back was able to cancel his contract at the Gunners and passed a medical at his new club ahead of the Brazilian transfer deadline on July 20.
