Arsenal 'eye £18m Ever Banega deal'

Arsenal boss Unai Emery wants to sign Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega in the January transfer window, according to a report.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery reportedly wants to sign Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega in the January transfer window.

Banega, who played under Emery for two seasons at Sevilla, will see his contract at the Estadio Ramon expire at the end of the 2019-2020 campaign.

According to Rosario3, Emery is a huge fan of the Argentina international, and the Arsenal head coach feels that an offer in the region of £18m would be enough to convince Sevilla to sell at the start of 2019.

Banega has scored eight times in 28 appearances for Sevilla in all competitions during the 2018-19 campaign.

The 30-year-old represented Sevilla between 2014 and 2016 before moving to Inter Milan, but only spent one season with the Italian giants before sealing a return to the White and Reds.
