A report has claimed that Arsenal have made contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding the availability of Javier Pastore.
The Gunners are believed to be close to announcing the signing of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid in a deal worth £42.5m, but that has not stopped their late pursuit of Pastore.
The Argentine playmaker has struggled to win over the supporters at the Parc des Princes since his move from Palermo in 2011 and was even jeered by sections of the home faithful at the weekend.
That has alerted Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, who could attempt to sign the 24-year-old on a loan deal, according to the Daily Mail.
It is believed that the move may hinge on if PSG can secure the services of Chelsea's Juan Mata.
