Arsenal are reportedly holding negotiations with playmaker Yacine Brahimi, who is now out of contract at Porto.

Arsenal have reportedly opened discussions with Yacine Brahimi regarding a potential switch to the Emirates Stadium.

After a five-year spell at Porto which has brought 48 goals from 185 appearances, Brahimi is now a free agent after his contract expired at the end of June.

According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal are making an effort to secure a deal for the 29-year-old as they consider their options in the transfer market.

However, while getting a transfer completed will appeal to Arsenal, the report adds that the two parties are not close to bringing about a positive conclusion to negotiations.

The Gunners have a limited transfer budget this season as a result of their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.
