Arsenal eye a summer swoop for unsettled Real Madrid defender Marcelo, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a summer swoop for Real Madrid defender Marcelo.

The left-back has made close to 500 appearances for Madrid since arriving from Fluminense in 2007.

The Brazil international's future at the Bernabeu is far from secure, however, with Los Blancos spending big to bring Lyon left-back Ferland Mendy to the club in this summer's transfer window.

According to Sport, Marcelo is keen to leave Madrid ahead of the 2018-19 campaign and Arsenal are firmly in the race to sign the South American.

The report also claims that Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and AC Milan are interested in a move for the experienced defender.

Marcelo, who only made 23 league appearances during the 2018-19 campaign, has won four La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues during his time in the Spanish capital.
