Arsenal have reportedly placed a £3m offer on the table for Chelsea frontman Salomon Kalou.
The 26-year-old, who is currently on international duty with Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations, has been linked with a January switch away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.
While a potential new deal with the Blues was an option for the striker, it is believed that negotiations have broken down, causing the Gunners to declare their interest in the player, according to the Daily Mail.
Chelsea hitman Didier Drogba is yet to sign a new deal with the former Premier League champions, prompting rumours of an exit.
