Arsenal have reportedly begun talks with their technical director Edu Gaspar over a long-term contract.
Since being appointed as technical director in 2019, the former Arsenal player has become one of the most impressive administrators in European football.
The 44-year-old played a key role in the summer, adding to Mikel Arteta's squad with a number of key signings - including Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko - while also reducing the club's wage bill by offloading a number of players that had been deemed surplus to requirements.
According to football.london, Arsenal are keen to extend Edu's contract, and as a result, they have begun talks over a deal.
The Gunners want to agree a new long-term contract for their technical director, who has attracted interest from at least two European clubs.
With Arsenal currently sat at the top of the Premier League table, Edu is believed to be happy in his role and is committed to the North London club.
