Arsenal are reportedly preparing a third offer for Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White after seeing bids of £40m and £45m knocked back.

Arsenal are reportedly readying a third offer for Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Ben White.

The Gunners are believed to have tabled bids in the regions of £40m and £45m for the 23-year-old, who is currently on international duty with England at Euro 2020.

Arsenal are not thought to be the only club interested in White, though, as Chelsea, Everton and Manchester City are all supposedly looking to hijack a deal.

According to Sky Sports News, Arsenal are still optimistic that they can get a deal over the line and will come back with an improved third bid for the defender soon.

The report adds that Brighton owner Tony Bloom is happy for White to further his career elsewhere should a potential suitor meet the club's asking price, which is unknown but is rumoured to be approximately £50m.

The Gunners are expected to announce the arrival of Nuno Tavares this week, meanwhile, and Albert Sambi Lokonga is also thought to be closing in on a move from Anderlecht.
