Arsenal are reportedly considering whether to launch an approach for Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira during the next transfer window.

Arsenal have reportedly identified Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira as a potential target ahead of the next transfer window.

With Matteo Guendouzi said to be keen on leaving the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta must start to think about possible replacements for the 21-year-old.

According to ESPN, the Premier League outfit are contemplating an approach for Pereira, who has impressed in the centre of Porto's midfield since 2015.

In total, the 28-year-old, who has 37 caps for Portugal, has scored 14 goals from 166 appearances in all competitions.

While Porto would prefer to keep Pereira, the Dragoes are having to considering offers for the majority of their players in order to balance the books.

The report adds that Pereira may be available for a fee in the region of £18m.
