North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to compete for the signature of Atletico Madrid forward Adrian.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to compete for the signature of Atletico Madrid forward Adrian.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season at Estadio Vicente Calderon last term, scoring 15 goals in 50 first-team appearances.

Adrian's form prompted the La Liga side to initiate new contract talks with the player over the summer.

However, he has yet to put pen to paper and this has sparked increased interest from the North London duo, according to talkSPORT.

It is believed that Adrian's current contract includes a £14.4m buyout clause.
