Arsenal have reportedly identified Real Betis defender Junior Firpo as a potential transfer target.
The Gunners made a number of defensive-minded signings during the summer, but it appears that manager Unai Emery is looking to further strengthen his backline.
According to AS, the Gunners are prepared to make an approach for Firpo, with the left-back having impressed in La Liga during the opening three-and-a-half months of the season.
The 22-year-old has contributed two goals and one assist in 11 starts, with one of his strikes coming in the 4-3 victory over Barcelona at Camp Nou last weekend.
However, Manchester City will be considered favourites if they firm up their interest in the player due to Pep Guardiola's brother acting as Firpo's representative.
Torino are also said to be monitoring the situation, although Firpo's contract allegedly contains a £43.5m release clause.
