Arsenal are reportedly set to join Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to sign PSV Eindhoven forward Cody Gakpo.
Mikel Arteta is desperate to bolster his squad this month and is looking to target a new striker and a centre-midfielder before next Monday's 11pm deadline.
Gakpo has been in fine form for the Dutch giants this term, scoring 10 goals and registering 11 assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.
According to Footmercato, the Gunners have added the 22-year-old to their striker shortlist and view the youngster as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The report adds that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are no longer interested in the forward, while Ligue 1 outfit Marseille expressed their desire to recruit the player last summer.
Gakpo, who is under contract at PSV until June 2025, is understood to be valued at around €30m (£25m).
