Morocco international Noussair Mazraoui, who has been linked with Barcelona, is planning to leave Ajax on a free transfer this summer.

Morocco international Noussair Mazraoui has revealed that he is planning to leave Ajax on a free transfer this summer in search of pastures new.

The 24-year-old has made 23 appearances for his Dutch club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring five times and contributing three assists.

Manchester City and Arsenal are among the clubs to have been credited with an interest in the defender, while a recent report claimed that Barcelona had been offered the chance to sign the Moroccan, who is in the final six months of his contract in Amsterdam.

Mazraoui has said that there is only a "5%" chance of him signing a new deal at Ajax, as he is ready for a fresh challenge after four years in the first team.

"That's a good question. I think the chances of me remaining at Ajax are very small, maybe 5%. I am open for something new, I have played here for 16 years and I think it's a good moment to leave," Mazraoui told reporters.

The right-back has scored 10 times and registered eight assists in 125 appearances for his Dutch club in all competitions.
