Arsenal have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Barcelona winger Malcom but are more interested in pursuing the signature of Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha.
Malcom struggled to nail down a starting spot at the Camp Nou following his £37m move to Catalunya last summer, making just six league starts during the 2018-19 campaign.
The Spanish champions are understood to be open to selling the 22-year-old during the current transfer window as they look to raise funds for both Neymar and Antoine Griezmann.
Reports in Spain claimed that the Gunners made an offer to take the Brazilian on loan for the season, with an option of purchasing him permanently next summer.
However, The Mirror reports that it is Barcelona who made the initial move, contacting Arsenal to see if they would be interested in a deal.
Arsenal are reportedly unwilling to pursue negotiations, instead continuing their efforts to prise Zaha away from Crystal Palace.
