Nicklas Bendtner considers Russia switch

Nicklas Bendtner has reportedly been pondering a move to Russia at the end of the season.

The Sunderland striker, who is currently on loan from Arsenal, has been linked with an exit from the Premier League.

"There are a lot of very strong players going to Russia, players who previously wouldn't have done so," the Daily Mail quotes Bendtner as saying. "They play great football there."

The 24-year-old is likely to be released by the Gunners at the end of the season and it is unclear whether the Black Cats are keen on keeping the Denmark international.
