Premier League duo Brentford and Aston Villa are reportedly showing an interest in signing Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

Brentford and Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

After rising through the youth ranks at Chelsea, Abraham left Stamford Bridge in 2021 to complete a move to Roma.

During his first season with the club, Abraham helped the Giallorossi win the inaugural Europa Conference League to end their 14-year trophy drought.

The forward also played a key role in Roma's run to the Europa League final last term, before they were beaten on penalties by Sevilla.

Despite enjoying success during his time in the Italian capital, Abraham is supposedly open to returning to England at the end of the current season.

With Roma boss Jose Mourinho likely to leave following the expiry of his contract next summer, Abraham could be one of a number of players to follow the experienced manager out the exit door.

According to TEAMTalk, Premier League duo Brentford and Aston Villa have both identified Abraham as a potential transfer target.

With Abraham currently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury that he sustained in May, any move for the Englishman may have to wait until the summer.

Roma would be looking to receive around £45m to part ways with the striker, who is under contract until the summer of 2026.

Brentford are on the lookout for a possible replacement for Ivan Toney, with the forward likely to leave the club when he returns from an eight-month betting ban in January.

The England international is attracting interest from some of the Premier League's biggest sides, including London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, will consider Abraham as a possible option in the event that they lose star striker Ollie Watkins, who has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and AC Milan.

The Roma man previously spent time on loan at Aston Villa in the 2018-19 season, scoring 26 goals to help the club win promotion via the Championship playoffs.

Abraham's former club Chelsea are also keeping tabs on his progress, but it remains to be seen whether they would be seriously interested in bringing him back to Stamford Bridge.
