Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the loan signing of Southampton defender Cedric Soares.
The Gunners announced on Wednesday afternoon that they had agreed a loan deal for Flamengo centre-back Pablo Mari.
According to Sky Sports News, a new full-back is also wanted by Mikel Arteta's side before the January transfer window closes for business, and Cedric has quickly emerged as a leading target.
The report claims that the Portugal international is now nearing a switch to the Emirates Stadium after Southampton completed a move for Kyle Walker-Peters.
Cedric spent the second half of the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Inter Milan, making nine appearances for the Italian giants before returning to St Mary's.
In all, the 28-year-old has made 138 appearances for the Saints, including 19 in all competitions during the current season.
