Arsenal are reportedly ready to pip their English rivals to the signing of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.
The 18-year-old broke into the starting lineup at the start of the season and has gone on to earn rave reviews.
Recent speculation claimed that the youngster's development had captured the attention of both Liverpool and Manchester City.
However, according to the Daily Record, it is the Gunners that now lead the race, having sent chief scout Steve Rowley to make a personal check on Tierney's ability.
The report adds that the Premier League outfit are prepared to part with up to £10m to secure the Scotland international's signature.
Tierney's current contract at Parkhead does not expire until the summer of 2019.
