Chelsea have reportedly made contact with Achraf Hakimi's agent to discuss a potential deal for the Inter Milan defender during this summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for his Italian club, scoring seven times and contributing 11 assists in 45 appearances in all competitions.
Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked with the Morocco international, while a recent report claimed that Chelsea had joined the hunt for his services.
According to Goal, Thomas Tuchel's side have been in touch with Hakimi's agent Alejandro Camano and his Serie A club, as the Premier League outfit look to secure a deal ahead of next season.
The report claims that Chelsea are willing to pay £56m for the defender, but Inter, who have financial problems, are thought to value him closer to £70m.
Hakimi - also recently linked with Arsenal - still has four years left to run on his contract at San Siro.
