Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur 'in frequent contact with Kalidou Koulibaly'

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in frequent contact with Napoli over potentially signing defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have both reportedly established frequent contact with Napoli over potentially signing defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

The Senegal international has been linked with a move to elsewhere in Europe amid a turbulent season for the Naples side, with Carlo Ancelotti losing his job last month.

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis recently admitted that the club would indeed be open to sanctioning a move away for Koulibaly.

According to Corriere del Mezzorgiono, the two London clubs have sent representatives to hold talks with Napoli over a potential summer transfer for Koulibaly.

Chelsea are targeting reinforcements at the back as Frank Lampard prepares for the club's transfer ban to be lifted next summer.

Spurs, on the other hand, are on the lookout for another defender amid a challenging 2019-20 campaign and will reportedly face competition from local rivals Arsenal for Koulibaly's signature.
