Unai Emery: 'Transfer business may be over'

Arsenal boss Unai Emery says that he would only re-enter the transfer market this summer if a "big player" became available.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has claimed that he would only re-enter the transfer market this summer if a "big player" became available.

Emery has already brought Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi to the Emirates Stadium in this summer's transfer window.

The Gunners continue to be linked with more signings, but Emery has said that his transfer business is over unless a spectacular player comes on the market.

"We are working hard with the current players and I'm happy with the squad. Only if there is an opportunity to sign one big player, we might look for it," Emery told reporters.

Arsenal will face Atletico Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Lazio in pre-season matches before opening their 2018-19 Premier League campaign against Manchester City on August 12.
