Unai Emery unsure whether Mesut Ozil attended North London derby

Arsenal manager Unai Emery says that he is unsure whether Mesut Ozil attended the Gunners' 4-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur after being ruled out with a back injury.

Unai Emery has admitted that he "does not know" the whereabouts of Mesut Ozil as Arsenal were seeing off Tottenham Hotspur 4-2 on Sunday afternoon.

The German playmaker was a surprise omission from the Gunners' matchday squad at the Emirates Stadium, a week on from being benched for the win at Bournemouth.

Ozil, who is said to have missed out with a back spasm suffered in training this week, last featured for Arsenal against Wolverhampton Wanderers on November 11.

Asked to elaborate on the 30-year-old's injury at his post-match press conference, however, Emery stated that he "did not know" exactly when it occurred, and gave the same response when asked whether the player even attended the match.

Former Real Madrid ace Ozil, also absent for Arsenal's win against Fulham in October with an apparent back problem, has been linked with a surprise move to Inter Milan.
