Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has been strongly linked with an exit from the Etihad Stadium, and now his agent confirms that they have held talks with Arsenal.

Gabriel Jesus's agent has confirmed Arsenal interest in the Manchester City forward, amid strong suggestions of a departure this summer.

Pep Guardiola's side announced earlier this week that they had reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Erling Braut Haaland, further suggesting that Jesus will exit the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The Brazilian international has only started 19 Premier League games during this campaign, netting eight goals and providing as many assists for the Citizens.

Marcelo Pettinati, Jesus's agent, said: "We had talks with Arsenal about Gabriel Jesus. We like the project – it's a possibility we're discussing. There are six more clubs interested in Gabriel. He's focused on the final games with Man City; we'll see."

Current Gunners strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both out of contract at the Emirates when this campaign finishes, with Mikel Arteta's side strongly linked with recruiting attacking options this summer.

Since arriving at Man City in 2017, Jesus has gone on to score 95 goals and provide 46 assists in 234 appearances for the club.
