Lazio are reportedly interested in a deal for Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.
The Gunners have primarily been focused on outgoings this month and have already terminated the contracts of Mesut Ozil and Sokratis, while Sead Kolasinac has rejoined Schalke on loan.
Mustafi demonstrated signs of improvement under Mikel Arteta at the back end of last season, but he is yet to start a Premier League game for the Gunners during the 2020-21 campaign and is expected to move on soon.
According to Italian outlet Citta Celeste, Lazio director of football Igli Tare has contacted Arsenal over a possible deal for Mustafi, as the club have been scouting him for a while.
The former Valencia man is free to enter discussions with other clubs after entering the final six months of his Emirates deal, although Arteta has previously insisted that he will not be sold in January.
Mustafi's only starts this season have come in the Europa League and EFL Cup, and he was previously linked with a sensational switch to Barcelona.
