Leicester City reportedly join the race for Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who is holding out for a move elsewhere in order to boost his England chances.

Leicester City are reportedly contemplating a late move for Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Fellow academy graduates Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are now two of the first names on Mikel Arteta's team sheet, but the versatile Maitland-Niles continues to struggle for game time at Arsenal.

With a spot in England's Euros squad at stake, Maitland-Niles is understood to be desperate for an exit in order to increase his playing time in the second half of the season.

As a result, The Mirror claims that Leicester have now joined a host of Premier League sides who are already in the hunt for the 23-year-old's signature.

The report claims that Maitland-Niles would be open to a move to the King Power, and given his desire to play in midfield, a transfer to Southampton - who are in the market for a full-back - is not a favourable option to him.

West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United are also believed to be interested in the England international, who has started just five Premier League games all season.
