Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly enter the race with Barcelona to sign Red Bull Salzburg youngster Karim Adeyemi.

Liverpool and Arsenal have reportedly entered the race with Barcelona to sign Red Bull Salzburg youngster Karim Adeyemi.

The 17-year-old has netted eight goals in 13 appearances while on loan at Liefering in Austrian Bundesliga 2 this season.

His parent club, Salzburg, have a strong track record of poaching some of the best talent in northern Europe, as seen with Erling Braut Haaland.

According to Sport, Barcelona academy director Patrick Kluivert is particularly keen on the player, but looks set to face competition for his signature from Liverpool and Arsenal.

Liverpool have had first hand experience of Adeyemi's qualities in the UEFA Youth League over the past year.

Borussia Dortmund are also said to have expressed an interest in the youngster.
