Liverpool have reportedly identified Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo as a potential transfer target.
In recent months, the 18-year-old has come onto the radar of several of European football's biggest clubs having made the breakthrough in his homeland.
Despite his age, Moscardo has already made 23 appearance for the Brazilian giants, 16 of which have come in the top flight during 2023.
Although Moscardo has a contract with Corinthians until July 2026, the suggestion is that he could depart Neo Quimica Arena as soon as January.
Moscardo recently commented on speculation regarding his future, with the indication being that he has been told to expect interest at the end of the current Brazilian season.

The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona have already been credited as admirers of the teenager, particularly Chelsea who were said to be interested in negotiating a deal last summer.
While Barcelona are said to be monitoring the situation, the Evening Standard says that Corinthians may be ready to demand as much as £26m, something which is not achievable by the Catalan giants.
Nevertheless, the same report adds that Liverpool are also admirers of Moscardo and could look to try to edge out their rivals, both domestically and abroad.
Jurgen Klopp and the Merseyside giants hold a long-standing interest in Fluminense midfielder Andre, yet it is unclear whether they will win the race for his services.

Each of Arsenal and Fulham are among those to have been linked with a move for the Brazil international, who may also depart his current club at the turn of the year.
Liverpool significantly altered their midfield ranks in the summer as they signed the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai.
However, Klopp remains keen on another combative option as he is currently relying on Wataru Endo and injury-hit youngster Stefan Bajcetic.
The report adds that Corinthians will not consider conducting any negotiations until after their presidential elections on November 25.
