Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez emerges as a transfer target for Liverpool, according to a report.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan centre-forward Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentina international has again been in impressive form for his Italian club during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 10 times and contributing two assists in 15 Serie A appearances.

Martinez signed a new long-term contract at San Siro in October, with his deal due to run until June 2026, but there has recently been speculation surrounding his future.

Arsenal are still believed to be interested in the 24-year-old, and according to Calciomercato, Liverpool are also in the hunt for the South American's signature.

The Reds are expected to be in the market for a new striker next summer but are not believed to be in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland.

Martinez has scored 59 goals and registered 22 assists in 153 appearances for Inter since joining the reigning Italian champions from Racing Club in July 2018.
