Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has admitted that he would like to play for Boca Juniors during his career, furthering speculation that he wants to leave Arsenal in the New Year.
The 23-year-old has been believed to be considering his future with the Gunners after slipping down the pecking order under Unai Emery, despite him being a regular starter in the last campaign following his move from Sampdoria.
Speaking to Tiempo de Futbol while on international duty, Torreira said: "Today Arsenal needs me to be focused. I can't start talking about another team.
"I need to be focused and when the transfer period arrives we will see what happens.
"I don't know what will happen in the future. But I would like to be able to play for Boca.
"It's a dream I have for what that institution represents."
Gustavo Alfaro's Boca, who lost to fierce rivals River Plate in the semi-finals of this year's Copa Libertadores, currently boast Carlos Tevez and Daniele De Rossi among their ranks.
