AC Milan have reportedly entered talks with the agent of Porto midfielder Hector Herrera over a summer transfer.
The 28-year-old is also rumoured to have attracted interest from Arsenal as a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who will leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.
Like Ramsey, Herrera will also be available on a Bosman as he has been allowed to run down his contract at the Estadio do Dragao.
According to Sport Mediaset, Milan have moved to the front of the queue to sign the Mexico international as talks are underway between the club and agent Gabriel Moraes.
Herrera, used 31 times in all competitions this season, is also said to be on Roma's radar ahead of the reopening of the transfer window in four months' time.
