Bordeaux want to sign Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny this summer, according to a report.

Bordeaux are reportedly preparing a summer bid for Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.

The Egypt international joined the Gunners from Basel in January 2016, and has made 88 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.

The 26-year-old penned a new contract with the London club last March, but has struggled for regular action during the 2018-19 campaign, leading to suggestions of a possible summer exit.

According to L'Equipe, new Bordeaux manager Paulo Sousa - who coached Elneny at Basel - wants to bring the midfielder to France in this summer's transfer window.

The Egyptian has been restricted to just seven Premier League appearances this term, while he did not feature in either leg of Arsenal's Europa League semi-final against Valencia.
