Montpellier HSC president Louis Nicollin has claimed that the proposed transfer of Olivier Giroud to Arsenal is as good as completed.
The French striker has been strongly linked with a move to North London since the end of last season with Gunners chief Arsene Wenger - who is known for unwillingness to discuss transfers - stating that a deal was 90% done.
Arsenal have reportedly met the striker's £13m release cause, and Nicollin has all but confirmed Giroud's departure from the Ligue 1 champions.
Nicollin told French TV: "I wish him well."
Reports claim that following France's exit from Euro 2012, Giroud underwent a medical at Arsenal on Monday and is set to have his transfer announced by the club within the next few days.
