Arsenal will face competition from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich when it comes to Espanyol's Mario Hermoso, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have reportedly joined Arsenal in the race to sign Espanyol defender Mario Hermoso in this summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old came through the youth system at Real Madrid before joining Espanyol in the summer of 2017, and he has impressed during his time with the Catalan outfit.

Arsenal are reportedly keen to sign the two-time Spain international ahead of the new season.

However, according to Diario AS, Espanyol are expecting bids from both PSG and Bayern for a player who has a £35m release clause in a contract which expires in June 2020.

Hermoso, who has also been linked with a return to the Bernabeu, scored three times in 35 appearances for Periquitos during the recent campaign.
