The agent of Zenit St Petersburg striker Sardar Azmoun has ruled out the possibility of his client joining Arsenal in the January transfer window.
The Gunners are expected to lose Alexandre Lacazette on a free transfer next summer, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Eddie Nketiah's futures at the club also remain unclear.
As a result, Mikel Arteta's side have been tipped to complete a January swoop for Azmoun, who has eight goals to his name from 14 appearances to his name in all competitions this season.
However, Azmoun's agent has poured cold water over links with a January move, saying: "Azmun will not leave Zenit. If he leaves the club, it will definitely not be this season," in quotes attributed to Soccer.ru.
The Iran international boasts a total of 60 goals and 21 assists from 97 appearances for Zenit since arriving in 2019, but his deal with the Russian giants is due to expire next year.
Lacazette has impressed in recent clashes with Crystal Palace and Aston Villa, though, and Arteta has insisted that a new contract for the Frenchman is not off the cards.
