Sevilla: 'Steven N'Zonzi will only leave for £35m'

Sevilla's director of football Joaquin Caparros says that Steven N'Zonzi will only leave the Spanish club this summer if his £35m release clause is activated.

Sevilla's director of football Joaquin Caparros has indicated that the club will not sell Steven N'Zonzi for anything less than £35m.

N'Zonzi has spent the last three years with the Spanish side, scoring eight goals in 135 outings in all competitions, and the Frenchman's form has resulted in interest from a number of top European clubs.

The 29-year-old has allegedly suggested that he would like to take on a new challenge, but it appears that any interested club will have to meet his release clause.

Caparros told Cadena Ser: "Steven has two years remaining on his contract. We have texted each other during the World Cup and I have congratulated him on his achievements with France, of course.

"We have not received any offers for him and I will say the same to any clubs who may be interested as what we said with Lenglet – he has a buyout clause, and it's £35m."

Arsenal have been linked with a summer move for the former Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers player.
