Southampton have reportedly made an official enquiry for Arsenal winger Theo Walcott.
The 23-year-old England international, whose current contract expires in 12 months, began his career at St Mary's before joining the Gunners in 2006.
Saints chairman Nicola Cortese wants to help manager Nigel Adkins build a squad that is worthy of a place in Europe and is willing to pay £15m plus wages of £100,000 per week to re-sign Walcott, according to The Mirror.
Walcott made 23 first-team appearances during his time at Southampton, scoring five goals.
