Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly among four Premier League clubs showing an interest in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens.

Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly among four Premier League clubs interested in signing Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens.

Dortmund have previously aided the development of top English talents like Jude Bellingham and Jadon Sancho, before the pair completed big moves away from Signal Iduna Park.

Gittens is the latest highly-rated English youngster to establish himself in the Dortmund side after he joined the club's academy from Manchester City in 2020.

The 20-year-old is now being linked with a potential move back to England after emerging as a potential target for at least four Premier League sides.

Arsenal, Chelsea in four-way Gittens battle

According to journalist Patrick Berger, Arsenal and Chelsea are among four top Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Gittens's progress in Germany.

The report claims that Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are also 'monitoring the situation' surrounding the winger's future with Nuri Sahin's side.

Gittens is currently under contract until the summer of 2028 after signing a new deal in October 2023 to increase his basic salary to €3m (£2.5m).

With Dortmund in a strong negotiating position, they will reportedly say no if they receive offers in the region of €50m (£42m) or €60m (£50m).

The Bundesliga side will only consider parting ways with the 20-year-old winger if a club meets their €100m (£83m) valuation.

Gittens targeting Premier League switch

The Englishman is believed to be happy at Signal Iduna Park and plans to stay with Dortmund for at least one more season.

However, Gittens's ultimate goal is to play in the Premier League, increasing the prospect that he could join a top English club at some point in the future.

Gittens will continue to generate significant interest if he keeps performing at a level for his current employers, having registered seven goals and four assists in 18 competitive appearances this season.

The attacker scored his most recent goal in Wednesday's 3-0 Champions League win over Dinamo Zagreb, making it four goals in five European appearances this season.
