Robin van Persie reportedly agrees a £210,000-per-week contract at Manchester City, which would make him the highest-paid player in England.

Robin van Persie has reportedly agreed a £210,000-per-week contract at Manchester City, which would make him the highest-paid player in England.

A deal between the two clubs has not been reached, but the Holland international is prepared to make the move north for a £10.9m annual deal, sources told The Sunday Times.

Arsenal are said to be doing everything in their power to keep the player, who has scored 32 goals in 37 games this season, but Roberto Mancini has publicly spoke of his admiration for the frontman.

The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer of 2013 and Arsene Wenger said yesterday that he will not sell any more players to City.
