Aston Villa have reportedly joined Leeds United in identifying Arsenal goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez as a potential signing.
Despite having starred for the Gunners since the middle of June, there have been suggestions that Martinez will soon drop back down to the substitutes' bench.
With Bernd Leno expected to eventually reclaim his spot between the sticks, Arsenal may be prepared to take the opportunity to cash in on the Argentine.
On the same weekend where Martinez helped Arsenal overcome Liverpool in the Community Shield, The Independent claims that Villa are preparing to make an approach.
However, the report says that the West Midlands outfit intend to bid £10m, half of Arsenal's alleged £20m valuation of the 28-year-old.
Martinez, who wants to become number one with his national team, has two years remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
