West Ham United have reportedly identified Zenit St Petersburg forward Sardar Azmoun as a potential transfer target.
In January 2019, Azmoun was heavily linked with a switch to Wolverhampton Wanderers before eventually opting to remain in Russia with Zenit.
During his time at his current club, the Iran international has contributed 26 goals from 45 appearances, keeping him on the radar of bigger teams around Europe.
According to Area Napoli, West Ham are among the teams interested in the 25-year-old and are prepared to meet his £22m asking price.
However, the report adds that Arsenal will be the favourites to sign the player should they be willing to pay the same fee as one of their London rivals.
Although Napoli are also monitoring the situation, much could depend on whether they are able to sell one of their most valuable squad members.
