How Arsenal could line up with Willian

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up next season if they bring Chelsea attacker Willian to the club.

Chelsea attacker Willian has reportedly agreed a three-year contract with Arsenal ahead of a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The 31-year-old's current deal with the Blues is due to expire later this month, and it is widely thought that he will be leaving Frank Lampard's side in search of pastures new.

Arsenal have allegedly come to an agreement with the South American over a three-year contract worth £100,000 a week, with the deal set to be announced before the end of August.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Gunners could line up next season if they do indeed manage to bring the experienced attacker to the club.

POSS ARS XI WILLIAN

Willian has enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for Chelsea, finding the back of the net on 11 occasions in 47 appearances in all competitions, in addition to providing nine assists.

The majority of his football this season has come as a right-sided attacker, and it would not be a surprise to see the Brazilian fill that position for the Gunners next term.

Nicolas Pepe will be determined to hold down a spot in the side, and it could be a battle between the two players down the right as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks set to sign a new deal at the club.

Aubameyang's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, but the Gabon international is allegedly close to penning a new deal at the Emirates Stadium.

Elsewhere, new arrival William Saliba could come into the back three, having spent the 2019-20 campaign back on loan with Saint-Etienne, while Mikel Arteta's side are also keen to re-sign Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid.

Alexandre Lacazette's future has been the subject of much speculation, but the Frenchman showed some good form under Arteta and could now remain at the club.

Bernd Leno, meanwhile, will return between the sticks next season despite number two stopper Emiliano Martinez enjoying an excellent spell after the lockdown period.
