Fabinho signs permanent Monaco deal

Monaco complete the signing of Brazilian defender Fabinho on a permanent deal from Rio Ave.

Monaco have signed Brazilian defender Fabinho on a permanent contract from Rio Ave.

The 21-year-old full-back, who has penned a deal until 2019, has been on loan at the Stade Louis II for the past two seasons.

Fabinho has scored two goals in 48 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season.

"I am very happy to sign a contract with AS Monaco, I have had two good seasons here," he told the club's official website. "We were second in the league last year, we are third now, and we hope to confirm third place and I hope to achieve good things with AS Monaco."

Monaco are back in Ligue 1 action on Saturday when they travel to Lorient.
