Aston Villa make three changes to their starting lineup for Wednesday's Champions League fixture with Juventus.

Aston Villa have made three changes for Wednesday's Champions League fixture with Juventus.

On the back of six matches without success, Unai Emery was always likely to tinker with his starting lineup for the contest with the Serie A giants.

The Spaniard has opted to bring in three fresh faces, two of which will start at full-back with Matty Cash and Lucas Digne being recalled to the side.

Boubacar Kamara has also been drafted into the engine room, with Lamare Bogarde, Ian Maatsen and Ross Barkley the players to miss out.

Emery has resisted the temptation to hand Jhon Duran a rare start in attack, retaining Ollie Watkins down the middle.

Defender Ezri Konsa is a welcome addition to the substitutes' bench after missing out through injury at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Juventus head coach Thiago Motta has made just the one change to the team that started the goalless draw with AC Milan.

With Weston McKennie missing out through injury, Timothy Weah has been restored to the team in attack.

Juventus' injury crisis means that they are able to select just four outfield players on their substitutes' bench, former Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz among the high-profile absentees.

Aston Villa XI: Martinez; Cash, Carlos, Torres, Digne; McGinn, Tielemans, Kamara, Bailey; Rogers; Watkins
Subs: Olsen, Gauci, Nedeljkovic, Bogarde, Maatsen, Konsa, Mings, Barkley, Buendia, Philogene, Duran

Juventus XI: Di Gregorio; Savona, Kalulu, Gatti, Cambiaso; Locatelli, Thuram; Conceicao, Yildiz; Koopmeiners, Weah
Subs: Perin, Pinsoglio, Danilo, Fagioli, Mbangula, Rouhi
