Manchester United legend Roy Keane has compared Aston Villa's Jack Grealish to Cristiano Ronaldo because "he is the star man".
Grealish earned his sixth England cap this week in Gareth Southgate's side's 1-0 victory over Austria, as the national team prepare for the European Championships this summer.
The 25-year-old started the game at the Riverside Stadium and got a valuable 71 minutes in his tank after struggling with injury since February.
Speaking on ITV, Keane was full of praise for the Villa captain: "He is the star man, he makes things happen. He has courage and always wants the ball in tight areas.
"Like Cristiano Ronaldo at Portugal, you need players like that in your team. It is brave."
Grealish recorded eye-catching stats from the just-completed Premier League campaign, having scored six goals and provided 12 assists for Dean Smith's side.
The playmaker will go to his first major tournament this summer as England face Croatia, Scotland and Czech Republic in Group D.
