Alex McLeish warns Aston Villa against being complacent ahead of their clash with Bristol Rovers.

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has warned his team of a "potential banana skin" awaiting them at League Two side Bristol Rovers.

The Scot, whose side were knocked out of the Carling Cup at home against a struggling Bolton outfit in September, has said that he is eager to see the Villans progress to the fourth round of the FA Cup this afternoon.

However, McLeish has urged his men to be at their best on the road at Memorial Stadium.

"There is no doubt the Barclays Premier League is the bread and butter but I love this tournament," he told the club's official website.

"We are aware of all the giant-killing feats. With the romance of giant-killing and upsets in the FA Cup we have to be at our best to avoid that.

"We don't want to have any room for complacency. It's a hard game, a potential banana skin, and I will be playing my strongest team."

Meanwhile, the Midlands outfit are in 13th place in the Premier League table.
